Netflix's One Piece Reveals First Look at Tony Chopper

As a long-time One Piece enthusiast who’s sailed through countless adventures with Luffy and his crew, I can confidently say that the winds of excitement are blowing stronger than ever before! The news about the second season of the live-action series has sent my heart racing like a wild Doflamingo.

Here it goes: Exciting news for “One Piece” enthusiasts! Netflix is clearly smitten with the Straw Hat pirates’ adventures, and it shows in their ongoing projects. The live-action series was a massive hit when it debuted in 2023, bucking all expectations to become another successful addition to Netflix’s lineup. As we speak, production for season two is in full swing, and we’ve caught wind of some new characters joining the cast. Of course, our beloved Tony Tony Chopper will be tagging along, and we’ve finally gotten a sneak peek at his character design.

As you can see below, the teaser comes straight from Netflix’s Geeked Week. Matt Owens, a showrunner of One Piece, ushered in the first look at Chopper after a set video was shared with fans. In the clip, star Inaki Godoy introduces Chopper, but part of his face is obscured. The poor reindeer was asked to attend the table read for One Piece season two, but he is a little too short to clear the table in front of him.

Honestly, he could use a boost. Where is Zoro when you need him, huh?

How Will Chopper Look in One Piece?

From my perspective as an enthusiastic fan, this sneak peek showcases how Chopper from “One Piece” will be breathtakingly brought to life through CGI. In a brief moment, we catch a glimpse of the reindeer, sporting his signature pink hat that seems incredibly soft and fluffy to the eye. With his horns poking out from beneath the hat, only his ears are visible in this shot. It’s evident that the team at Netflix has poured immense dedication into creating Chopper, and when we finally get a good look at his adorable face, I have no doubt that the “One Piece” fandom will go absolutely wild!

What Can We Expect From One Piece Season 2?

At the moment, there’s no information available on who will give voice to Chopper in Netflix’s One Piece or if they’re using motion capture technology to animate him. However, we do know that Katey Sagal will play Dr. Kureha, so Chopper will share scenes with a well-known actress. Additionally, Dr. Kureha will collaborate with Hiruluk, who is being portrayed by Mark Harelik, a former thief in the series.

Netflix has announced that One Piece season two will introduce another significant character: Miss All Sunday, who fans recognize as Nico Robin. Lera Abova will portray this cherished role, and she won’t be the only one joining the set. If Miss All Sunday is present, then Crocodile is not far off, with Joe Manganiello taking on the antagonist role. So if you can’t wait to see One Piece season two, you’re certainly not alone!
