Netflix's One Piece Shares First Look at Season 2 in New Promo: Watch

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of One Piece, I can hardly contain my excitement as Netflix gears up for season two! The latest set video, hosted by none other than Buggy the Clown himself, offers tantalizing glimpses into the intricate sets that will bring our beloved pirate crew’s adventures to life.

The hit show “One Piece” has returned to filming, with Netflix eagerly preparing for the debut of its second season. Over the summer, the spotlight fell on Monkey D. Luffy as he commandeered Cape Town, South Africa. The cast members of “One Piece” are currently putting in a lot of effort to bring us season two, and now, Netflix is offering a sneak peek into what’s coming up next. A fresh set video has been released for the live-action series, giving fans their first glimpse at several key sets for season two.

Hey there! Here I am, excitedly sharing some exclusive sneak peeks from Netflix’s Geeked Week. This time around, it’s none other than Buggy the Clown hosting the video. Now, you might recognize Jeff Ward, the man behind the pirate character, without his usual makeup on as he gives us a tour of our show’s set. The glimpse behind the scenes is quite comprehensive, giving us a peek at the work done by production designers, costume directors, and many others involved in the making. They even showed off some tantalizing teasers, like the design of Drum Island, to leave us eagerly anticipating what’s next!

What Will One Piece Season 2 Cover?

In the video, we get our first glimpse of Loguetown, the city where season two of One Piece begins. Various shops in Loguetown familiar to fans from the manga and anime are shown. From Zoro’s sword shop to Usopp’s sniper goggles location, everything is present. We also catch a glimpse of the stunningly beautiful goggles that Usopp ultimately purchases, despite their steep cost.

In the progression of the video, the creators responsible for “One Piece” offer viewers a glimpse into Drum Island. While there isn’t an official image of the wintery island, the video showcases how it will appear in real life. The design for Drum Island is based on Eiichiro Oda’s original concept, but its transformation into reality is quite distinct. Additionally, the video takes a brief pause to highlight the island’s lighthouse, and the on-set depiction of the location fits perfectly with “One Piece”.

Netflix’s One Piece Is Back in Production

If you’re excited to explore the world of “One Piece”, come join our group! The live-action series premiered in 2023, sparking some concern among fans, but it quickly became a sensation. In fact, “One Piece” stands as the most successful Hollywood adaptation of an anime to date. Eagle-eyed viewers will appreciate the thoughtful Easter eggs scattered throughout, and the VFX is groundbreaking. The Straw Hat crew, handpicked by creator Oda himself, truly brought the characters to life in a way fans never imagined possible. So, it’s no surprise that Netflix quickly greenlit a second season!

Moving on to season 2, the creator Matt Owens started working on “One Piece” following the conclusion of season 1, and filming commenced in July 2024. The original cast members such as Inaki Godoy portraying Luffy and Emily Rudd embodying Nami are returning, along with a fresh batch of characters joining the lineup, including Vivi Nefertari and Dr. Kureha. Fans are eagerly anticipating Tony Tony Chopper’s live-action debut. However, no specific release date for Netflix’s “One Piece” season 2 has been announced yet. It’s speculated that it may premiere in 2025, considering the timeline of production for season 1, so here’s to hoping we can set sail on the Going Merry soon!
