Netflix's One Piece Star Teases Season Two's Release Date

As a gamer with an insatiable appetite for all things anime and a soft spot for One Piece, I can hardly contain my excitement! The anticipation for season two has been building ever since we caught wind of Geeked Week’s sneak peeks, and Jeff Ward’s set visit only served to stoke the flames higher.

Over the last few days, there’s been lots of excitement surrounding Netflix’s series One Piece. Thanks to Geeked Week, the live-action version has been given a prominent spotlight as we approach season two. Production for One Piece started in July for season two, and actor Jeff Ward recently gave fans a sneak peek on set. Towards the end of the video, our beloved character Buggy the Clown even dropped a hint about when season two will be released.

As I’m diving back into the thrilling world of One Piece, I wanted to share some exciting news! In the video above, Ward gives us an exclusive tour of the latest updates on the game set. From hidden treasures (or should I say easter eggs) to a sneak peek at Drum Island, it’s packed with all the good stuff. And if you stick around till the end, Ward drops a hint about the upcoming season two and its release date! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

As Ward speaks, he hints at our upcoming reunion: “Now, I’ll see you all in 20–,” though Netflix has kept the specifics under wraps for now. If you have keen eyes and ears, you might catch that the sentence ends with ‘twenty.’

When Will One Piece Season 2 Go Live?

Despite a censor bar over Ward’s mouth, his facial expressions are clearly visible. The way his jawline moves suggests he’s saying “2025”. Given the unique way he speaks this year, it seems we’re all on edge, eagerly awaiting Netflix’s confirmation about what information Ward has shared.

It’s not really shocking that we might expect a release of One Piece Season 2 in 2025. For quite some time now, there have been indications about the release window for this series. The live-action adaptation premiered at the end of 2023, and prior to that, the cast was filming in South Africa throughout 2022. Considering it took approximately a year from production to premiere for Season 1, and with the show back in production for Season 2, it seems like a reasonable timeline for a 2025 launch.

What to Expect From One Piece Season 2

Regarding the upcoming events in “One Piece” season two, the live-action version has quite a bit planned out. Earlier this year, creator Eiichiro Oda provided insights into the show’s storyline for its second season, detailing the arcs it will cover. When “One Piece” returns, we can expect to see the portrayal of Loguetown. The narrative will also guide us through the Drum Island arc, which implies that while the Alabasta saga may not start in full during season two, several key characters from the storyline such as Vivi, Nico Robin, and Tony Tony Chopper will be introduced.

In the last while, we discovered who’s taking on various key roles. Lera Abova, a Russian actress, has been chosen for Nico Robin. Joe Manganiello is set to portray Crocodile, and Charithra Chandran will embody Vivi. As of now, no announcements have been made about Chopper’s actor or his look in season two, but we do know something about his mentors. Kureha will be played by Katey Sagal, while Mark Harelik has been cast as Dr. Hiruluk, the former thief.
