As a longtime fan of One Piece and an avid horror enthusiast, I couldn’t be more thrilled about David Dastmalchian joining the cast for Season 2! With his extensive background in both genres, I have no doubt that he will bring a unique and chilling take on Mr. 3 to life.

In simpler terms, Dastmalchian expressed his excitement about being cast as Mr. 3 in One Piece Season 2, stating that the original season was fantastic. He intends to bring out the “David” within Galdino’s character, revealing the office worker he once was who transformed into a cool, eccentric, and somewhat villainous character with shifting alliances similar to those in One Piece. He is eager to see how the creators will adapt the anime and manga into a live-action world.

As a devoted fan excitedly anticipating my role, when asked if I can leverage my horror experience for the part, I confidently replied, “Absolutely one hundred percent! The show also skillfully captures a unique energy and performance that resonates deeply with the source material.” Delving deeper into my thoughts, I shared my ambition for my portrayal of the character, “I aim to infuse some of my theater background into the realm of One Piece, giving Mr. 3 a distinct appearance, mannerisms, and voice. Fingers crossed that no one can rival what I’m planning to bring to life.” However, as of now, it seems I haven’t started working on set yet, so the final look of my character remains to be seen.

What Will Mr. 3 Look Like in One Piece Live Action?

When asked about the eccentric design of Mr. 3 for the live-action series, Dastmalchian expressed that he hasn’t seen it yet but has complete faith in the One Piece team to excel their performance. “I haven’t caught a glimpse of it yet, but I trust the design team on this show to stay true to the original material. Since I haven’t seen it and don’t know what it will look like, I am confident that it will do justice to the original design. I’m also eagerly waiting to find out which cool eyewear I’ll get to wear and hoping my arms can be strong enough to pull off the short-sleeved shirts he usually wears.

Regarding the release of new episodes for One Piece Season 2, Netflix has not specified a date or timeframe at this point in time. Joining the cast are Dastmalchian, Joe Manganiello (as Crocodile), Lera Abova (as Nico Robin), and other newcomers as the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s world expands further.
