If you didn’t know already, it seems that Sony might be adding more background options to the starting screen of the PlayStation 5, including some with animation.
Initially, these animated backgrounds were posted online by the user @chi_m02 and noticed by @Genki_JPN. It seems that Sony has distributed these freshly designed backgrounds to certain PlayStation 5 users as part of a staged release.
At present, everyone can utilize an Astro Bot-themed animated backdrop (plus a few incorporating PlayStation symbols), yet titles such as Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and additional ones are being added to the collection.
As an enthusiast, I must admit that I’m unsure which specific accounts will receive these additional backgrounds first. Unfortunately, here at Push Square, we don’t have them yet. But, let’s keep our fingers crossed as it seems only a matter of time before they become available to all of us!
We’ll update this story once the new animated backgrounds are more widely available.
What are your thoughts on the moving backdrops of the welcome screen? Have you received the latest versions? Feel free to share your opinions in the comment section beneath this post.
