With the arrival of this week, Battlefield 2042’s Season 7 has concluded, bringing an end to the game’s seasonal format. Electronic Arts and DICE have announced that additional content is in the works for “Battlefield 2042,” but it won’t be distributed through seasonal updates as before. Consequently, today’s update introduces minor adjustments to align with this new approach.
As a long-time Battlefield fan with countless hours logged into the series, I’m excited to share my perspective on the recent update for Battlefield 2042 (BF2042). Having played the game since its launch last year, I’ve grown accustomed to the Season 7 thematic that has dominated BF2042’s menus and overall aesthetic.
Besides adjusting the sensitivity of the XFAD-4 Draugr’s first-person perspective free look in Battlefield 2042, there have been no other changes to the gameplay as of now. According to DICE’s patch notes, this is the only modification made. Further updates are anticipated in the future.
In the near future, it’s generally understood that there are more things in store for Battlefield 2042. I’ve enjoyed every moment of playing Battlefield 2042, but as a gamer, I understand that updates will keep coming for the game, mostly focusing on fixing bugs and making minor improvements. However, I should mention that DICE is gradually phasing out their support for BF2042 as EA prepares to launch the next installment in the series.
