Notably, Vince Zampella, the head of the franchise, has confirmed that this new Battlefield installment will revert back to a modern setting, a choice not seen since 2013’s Battlefield 4. After the release of B4, EA explored different periods in history such as World War I (Battlefield 1), World War II (Battlefield V), and the near future (Battlefield 2042). At the moment, it’s unclear when the upcoming Battlefield game will be available for purchase. However, Zampella mentioned that there will be some sort of program related to the project in 2025. It remains uncertain if this program will lead to a release next year, but we can expect more information to be revealed in the coming months.
