At present, you can place pre-orders for the items on Amazon, and later today, Entertainment Earth should also offer them for pre-order. The original “Evil Dead” movie was launched in 1981, and since then, various follow-ups have been welcomed by fans. In the year 2023, the “Evil Dead” series came back with its fifth installment titled “Evil Dead Rises.” Directed and written by Lee Cronin, this film tells a dark story about two sisters who had grown apart, only to find their reunion disrupted by the emergence of demons capable of possessing flesh. As they fight for survival against the most terrifying form of family imaginable, they’re drawn into a brutal struggle.
2024 saw further updates on the “Evil Dead” saga, with a fresh spin-off series in the pipeline. This upcoming series is being spearheaded by Sébastien Vaniček, director of the 2023 film “Infested” (now available on AMC+), who has shared glimpses of the new project on social media under the title ‘Evil Dead Burns’. Scheduled for release in 2026, Vaniček has provided a sneak peek into what fans can anticipate from this new chapter in the franchise.
In an interview with ComicBook in April, Vaniček shared, “The initial question posed by Sam Raimi and his team was, ‘What would be your interpretation of Evil Dead?’ Upon seeing the word ‘your,’ I felt empowered to express my creative ideas. I believed I grasped the essence of Evil Dead, so I proposed certain elements I wanted to delve into, which they appreciated. This is why I was offered this project.
For now, fans can only anticipate as we eagerly hope that this latest installment continues to uphold the high standards set by the Evil Dead franchise.
