New Madden NFL 25 Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Updated Hit Stick and Boom Tech

As a die-hard Madden NFL fan, I’ve been following this franchise for years and have seen my fair share of improvements and disappointments. This year’s announcement of Madden NFL 25 has got me excited for a few reasons.

As a passionate gamer excited for the upcoming release of Madden NFL 25, I can’t help but feel a thrill as the launch date draws closer. Developer Electronic Arts is gradually sharing more tantalizing details about what lies in store for us in the latest installment of this beloved franchise.

As a devoted gamer of the Madden series for the past two decades, I’m thrilled to see that this year’s edition, Madden NFL 25, is putting extra effort into defense in honor of the Hit Stick’s anniversary. The latest trailer showcases an innovative “physics-based” tackling system, which might initially excite veteran Madden fans. However, it’s important to note that this game still primarily relies on animations due to its adoption of the Frostbite engine. Yet, the developers assure us that each tackle animation now carries the potential for a multitude of outcomes depending on factors like momentum, size, and strength. While some skepticism is natural given EA’s yearly claims, I’ll reserve judgment until we can experience the true impact on the field when Madden 25 is released.

A notable improvement is EA’s redesigned Hit Stick. Now, it relies on timing, so accurately executing your Hit Stick maneuver is essential for maximizing its potential. This modification introduces an element of skill and complexity, which can enhance the competitive experience. Moreover, a new Defensive Switch Stick feature will reportedly tackle the frequent problems players encounter when attempting to switch players during gameplay.

Certainly, advancements aren’t limited to the defensive aspect of the game. The developers have also been working on enhancements to the offensive line’s protective capabilities and showcasing the latest catch types that the team has incorporated. Furthermore, new animations for star players have been introduced, making these elite players appear even more authentic.

On August 16, 2022, Madden NFL 25 will be released for PlayStation, Xbox, and personal computer users. For those who opt for the Deluxe Edition, an early access of August 13 is granted.
