As a dedicated Minecraft player with countless hours spent exploring and building in the blocky world, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by this year’s exciting updates to the game. The addition of new wolf variants, each with their unique appearances and locations, adds an extra layer of adventure and discovery to my Minecraft experience.
In 2021, Minecraft players have enjoyed an significant enhancement regarding wolves and dogs within the game.
In Minecraft, for a long time, players could only encounter a single wolf type. However, an update introduced nine distinct wolf variations for players to discover. (Fans have sometimes jokingly called this wolf the “dog” version.)

Eight new wolf types have been added to Minecraft, as mentioned before on its official site.
To collect a grand total of nine dogs or wolves in Minecraft, include the eight new ones with the one you already have!

The game’s original wolf will be classified as The Pale Wolf going forward.

Additionally, the announcement mentioned the inclusion of wolf armor in the game. This protective gear can withstand and absorb all incoming enemy attacks, making it an essential asset during tough battles.
The creatures are also set to have 40 hearts of health, instead of 20, when they are fully grown.
