New Phineas & Ferb Preview Ends With Massive Twist

In just a few days, we’re almost there! The much-loved duo Phineas and Ferb are set to make their grand comeback next month, as Disney brings back their popular animated series. On June 5th, the revival of Phineas and Ferb will debut on the Disney Channel, with the entire season becoming available on Disney+ the following day, June 6th. To build excitement for this major return, Disney has shared a lengthy, ten-minute sneak peek that offers a tantalizing glimpse into what’s to come, and fans might not be ready for the surprises that the show’s comeback has in store!

How would Phineas and Ferb unfold without the usual confrontation between Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Perry The Platypus? In the recently released sneak peek, these long-time adversaries are at it again, but this time something significant seems to have occurred in the revival. This new extended clip suggests that Linda Flynn-Fletcher, the boys’ mom, has been vaporized by Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s latest invention – a vaporizer laser. This unexpected turn of events may create quite a predicament for the gang as they navigate through the Disney reboot. You can watch the extended preview below.

The Creators of Phineas & Ferb Talk The Revival

Last year, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, creators of the well-known Disney series, shared insights about its grand return in an interview with ABC 11. They mentioned that the revival would feature a mix of veteran writers from the original show and fresh, upcoming storytellers who were inspired by ‘Phineas and Ferb’ as their own ‘Scooby Doo’. In the writers’ room, they expressed great joy, stating there are already several episodes in the new season that could become iconic, potentially replacing viewers’ favorite episodes in their memories.

It’s clear that because the creators of Phineas and Ferb are coming back to work on the revival, Dan Povenmire will be reprising his role as Major Francis Monogram and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will continue as Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The revival is also planning to bring back several original cast members such as Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher, Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro. Although the new episodes may throw some surprises at fans, the creators have previously mentioned that they view the new season as the fifth of the series, which should alleviate many fans’ concerns.
