It’s rumored that Sony is preparing to unveil and sell a fresh PS5 console package in the coming days. Since its debut in 2020, a variety of different PS5 packages have emerged, each offering distinct games. Some of the standout PS5 bundles to date feature titles like “Horizon Forbidden West”, “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart”, “God of War Ragnarok”, “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”, and even “Fortnite”. Now, it appears that another PS5 model will hit stores soon, boasting PlayStation’s top game from 2024.
Based on reliable information from a trusted source known as billbil-kun at Dealabs, it appears that PlayStation is developing a new PS5 console which may include the popular game Astro Bot, developed by Team Asobi. This game was incredibly successful for PlayStation in the past year and garnered numerous awards, including our own prestigious Game of the Year award at ComicBook to wrap up 2024.
Based on the overwhelmingly positive response to the game “Astro Bot”, PlayStation is planning to offer this title as a free game bundled with certain PS5 models. According to Dealabs, this bundle will be available for the standard edition of the console, which has a disc drive. The release date for this bundle is tentatively set for March 13, 2025, in North America and Europe. At this time, the exact cost of the bundle remains unknown, but it’s likely to fall within the range of $500 to $550, following historical trends.
