One of the standout indie games of the year, Schedule 1, has taken everyone by surprise, storming Steam’s charts upon its Early Access release, garnering over 100,000 simultaneous players, and consistently retaining a loyal player base ever since. In the time following its debut, it has undergone one significant content upgrade, primarily enhancing the in-game decoration possibilities. The upcoming content update, however, promises to be far more substantial, with players given the exciting opportunity to select among three brand-new events that will become integral features of the game as a result of this update.
The upcoming modification to “Schedule 1” could potentially be its largest ever, offering three significant possibilities: Police Raids, conflicts between Cartels, or the introduction of Shrooms in the game. These substantial changes will be determined by the community through a poll that Tyler, the creator of “Schedule 1,” will conduct soon. The introduction of Shrooms as a farmable and marketable drug in the game for business expansion is intriguing, but it’s the prospect of Police Raids and Cartel Wars that has most players buzzing. Police raids would introduce an exciting challenge to evade within the game, where law enforcement officers, possibly even SWAT teams, break into suspected player hideouts. This could remind one of a scene from Better Call Saul, where Ignacio Vargas hastily escapes a drug den as the cops batter down the fortified door.
Among all potential enhancements to “Schedule 1“, the “Cartel Wars” could be the most impactful choice for players to endorse. This feature, presumably allowing players to assault Cartel hideouts and expel adversaries from the city (with similar actions taken against them), would directly progress the game’s primary narrative, which commenced when the Cartel destroyed your RV. At present, there is no other engagement with the Cartel within “Schedule 1“, making this mechanic seem like the most appealing option for players to support.
