What Is Spider-Noir About?
An upcoming live-action series titled “Spider-Noir” on Prime Video/MGM+ follows the narrative of a weary and hard-luck private detective, portrayed by Nicolas Cage, living in 1930s New York. The story compels him to confront his past as the sole superhero of the city.
As a passionate gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement as I step into the world of this upcoming series! The legendary director Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on shows like Fleabag and Killing Eve, is taking the helm to direct and produce the first two episodes. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who have made their mark with projects like The Lost City and Marvel’s The Punisher, are co-showrunners and executive producers for this eight-episode series.
“Katherine Pope, President of Sony Pictures Television Studios, praised Cage’s character in ‘Noir’, stating that no one else could convey such depth of emotion, sorrow, and authenticity to this unique role. Similarly, Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, considers Cage, who won an Oscar for ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ and stars in ‘Longlegs’, as a perfect fit for our upcoming superhero character.”
Stay tuned for more updates about Spider-Noir.
