A fresh sneak peek for James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman” movie has been unveiled, offering fans their first authentic glimpse at the Fortress of Solitude and new glimpses of Krypto the Superdog. Given that Superman hasn’t starred in a standalone film for 12 years, it’s one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2025. Although he made appearances in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Justice League,” and had a cameo in “Black Adam,” it’s been quite some time since the Man of Steel got his own film. After a very long wait, it seems that “Superman” is finally almost ready to hit the screens.
This week at CinemaCon, viewers were treated to a brief clip from the upcoming Superman movie. In this clip, we see the memorable moment from the initial trailer where Superman falls into the snow and is pulled back by Krypto, his loyal dog. This scene has now been made available online and it’s quite engaging.
The scene has a touch of humor as Krypto attempts to play with an injured Superman, but what stands out most is the revelation of the Fortress of Solitude, Superman’s primary residence. As Krypto and Superman arrive, this crystalized fortress rises from the ground. A group of robots are seen attending to Superman’s injuries, mentioning that he has 14 broken bones and damage to essential organs. However, with a “healthy dose” of sunlight, he begins to heal. The clip concludes with a slightly altered version of the Superman trailer.
Previously, it was shared that a five-minute clip from the upcoming movie, Superman, would play before screenings of A Minecraft Movie. However, it seems this might be the same clip. Nevertheless, this is your opportunity to witness it on an IMAX screen, as originally intended during filming. Currently, only one trailer for Superman has been unveiled, but considering its July release is fast approaching, another trailer may surface by the end of this month or early May to be shown alongside various summer blockbusters like Fantastic Four and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
Despite the secrecy surrounding the plot, it’s exciting to catch a glimpse of the upcoming Superman movie without any spoilers. The footage gives us a sense of the film’s tone and offers more insight into David Corenswet’s portrayal of Superman. Even though we don’t know much about the movie yet, its marketing has been extensive. Director James Gunn has only hinted at the movie’s premise, but it’s unclear what challenges Superman/Clark Kent will face in this new storyline. There have been some rumors about Superman leaks, but their validity remains questionable.
