Will The Nightmare Before Christmas Get a Sequel?

In a recent conversation with Empire, Burton expressed his feelings by saying, “I’ve handled sequels, other projects, reboots, and so on. I don’t wish for that to be the case with this one, though. It’s intriguing that people might be curious [about another installment], but I’m not on board.”

He commented, “I have the feeling of being the elderly landowner unwilling to part with my small plot to the large power company eager to seize it.”

As a huge fan, I had the privilege of conversing with composer Danny Elfman about his involvement in “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” He expressed sentiments remarkably similar to mine when he spoke of voicing Jack Skellington and masterfully crafting the film’s enchanting score.

Elfman shared his thoughts with egmr.ru about the possibility of a “Nightmare” sequel: “I’m not so sure,” he said. “In my opinion, Tim Burton has always believed that this is where the story ends.”

The composer pondered, “I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if he proposed a new perspective on this. If he did, I’d consider joining him. But I’ve never sensed any inclination from him towards that. I believe he saw it as an untouched masterpiece, and the thought of creating follow-ups may not have inspired him. However, I can’t speak for Tim; it’s his creation.”
