New Transformers Games Rated Following Recent Leak

As a seasoned Transformers fan who’s been through the Autobot-infested streets of Cybertron and battled Decepticons in countless dimensions, I can’t help but feel an electrifying surge of excitement at the rumors swirling about the potential remasters of “Transformers: War for Cybertron” and “Fall of Cybertron”. These games have been my go-to for epic, transforming action since their initial release, and to think that I might once again wield Grimlock’s mighty sword in glorious high-definition is almost too much to bear!

For the past several days, there’s been talk about two Transformers video games slated for release this year. A post from the Transformers fansite TFW2005 a few days ago sparked this chatter, and now, the Australian Classification Board has provided more evidence supporting these games in development by Microsoft Studios. The classifications don’t reveal much detail, but their presence seems to validate the initial rumor. Both games have been given a PG rating by the board, with the first game indicating “Online Interactivity and Scary Moments,” while the second game mentions “Mild Violence, Online Interactivity, and User Interaction.”

Currently, we’re unsure about which Transformers games are being developed right now, but hints suggest potential remakes of the classic games, “Transformers: War for Cybertron” and “Fall of Cybertron.” These original games supported online multiplayer, aligning with ratings from the Classification Board. Over the past year, there has been a growing interest from Hasbro and Xbox to re-release these games, leading us to speculate that both games might be undergoing remastering, after a long hiatus in the market.

Both Classification Board ratings were shared by TFW2005, which also noted that the Steam CD keys for multiple Transformers games from Activision were recently updated. At this time, we don’t know if there’s any connection, but there seems to be a lot of smoke surrounding these games. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Transformers fans hold both of these games in high-regard, alongside Transformers: Devastation.

Since a new Transformers movie is due out this month, it seems like an ideal moment for a Transformers video game announcement. However, just as with any unconfirmed news, it’s best to approach this with caution. In the past, several games have been leaked thanks to the Australian Classification Board, such as “Silent Hill: The Short Message,” which we learned about months before an official announcement from Konami. Here’s hoping that the same will apply to these Transformers games; for now, though, we can only wait and see if these rumors have more substance than initially appears.
