The recent announcement of Persona 4 Revival (the remake of Persona 4) by Atlus and Sega earlier this month, has indirectly confirmed that they are indeed working on Persona 6. However, they only provided a brief mention of the next game in the series. Unfortunately, the information given is scarce at best.
The earlier mentioned update for Persona 4 Revival is set to launch sometime within the year range of April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. Although this timeframe is broad, it does provide us with some release details, as opposed to its previous designation of “To Be Announced.
It’s clear that Sega and Atlus haven’t shared equal details about Persona 6, but we can still make educated guesses about its potential release date based on this new context. It’s highly unlikely that both Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 will launch simultaneously due to obvious reasons, such as the two games potentially competing with each other in the market. Releasing Persona 6 soon after Persona 4 Revival might dilute some of the excitement surrounding a new Persona 6 announcement since it could be perceived as a follow-up rather than an entirely fresh experience.
We can reasonably expect that Persona 6 won’t be released before a year after Persona 4 Revival, which could range from April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2028. However, it might take even longer if Atlus and Sega decide to leave more space between the two games. At best, we’re looking at a wait of at least two years for Persona 6. This timeline is speculative and hopeful, as there could be delays due to development needs.
