To ensure we’re well-prepared, it’s beneficial to collect resources that will prove handy later on, such as those related to upcoming content. Essentially, this approach helps us avoid the rush and stress of last-minute grinding, allowing us to fully appreciate the new season instead.

Season 7 Prep Guide for New World Aeternum
Gather Artifact Materials
Before Season 7 kicks off in New World Aeternum, it’s crucial to focus on Artifact Materials. From what has been revealed so far, this season appears to introduce eight unique Artifacts. It seems that seven out of these eight Artifacts are going to be weapons!
Given this situation, it would be beneficial for you to collect as many Weapon Matrix pieces as you can find. These items are essential for upgrading the latest weapon Artifacts, and their demand is expected to increase significantly. Creating a few of them might prove profitable. Moreover, you could use them personally if any of the new Artifacts appeal to you!
It’s also a good idea to get a good amount of Gypsum Orbs, as they’re also required for crafting.
Additionally, regarding your crafting skills, consider enhancing them to the maximum extent. It’s hinted that the game developers are working on refining the Crafting system. Although the exact timing for this update in Season 7 remains uncertain, it would be wise to boost your Crafting abilities as much as possible so you can efficiently utilize the improvements when they become available!
Participate in the Winter Convergence Festival
The Winter Gathering Event commenced on the 10th of December and will continue until, as of now, at least January 2025. However, a definitive conclusion is still not confirmed. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend participating in this occasion while it’s available!
Engage in conversations with the Winter Wanderer yeti residing in the Winter Settlements to receive tasks. Finish these tasks to accumulate Winter Credits, which you can later swap for a variety of handy goods and resources.
It’s strongly advised to gather as many Chromatic Seals as you can during this event since you receive one every three days at a cost of 10 Winter Tokens. These seals are crucial crafting materials for top-tier equipment, so it’s always beneficial to stockpile them.

Do the Weekly Hive of Gorgons Raid
For Season 7, there’s a planned enhancement to the rewards you receive from Mutated Expeditions, often referred to as M3s. To better tackle this demanding content, it would be wise to ensure that you complete the weekly Hive of Gorgons raid.
The raid gives fantastic rewards and can help you power your character up before tackling the upgraded M3s next season!
Hoard Materials for Combat Trophies
Last but not least, you should make sure to save up as many materials as possible for Combat Trophies. You can use the Combat Trophies to boost your damage output against certain enemy types. This will be particularly helpful when dealing with the updated M3s.
Which materials you need will depend on the Combat Trophy you want to use, though. However, just remember that using higher-quality materials will result in much stronger versions of the Combat Trophy!
