New Xbox Game Delayed Indefinitely Due to "Lack of Communication" from Xbox

As a gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the recent turn of events regarding “Enotria: The Last Song” has left me feeling a tad disheartened. The game, which was initially slated for a multi-platform release, has now been delayed indefinitely on Xbox, leaving us console enthusiasts in limbo.

The video game titled “Enotria: The Last Song” is scheduled for digital release on September 19th, becoming available on both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms simultaneously. Regrettably, players using Xbox will have to exercise patience as there’s no set date for the game’s release on that platform yet. Developer Jyamma Games has announced an indefinite delay for the Xbox version in a recent blog post, attributing the delay to encountered challenges during development. Some speculate that this could be due to a timed exclusivity deal with PlayStation, but the game’s official account clarified that it’s actually due to issues on Xbox’s side.

For transparency, let me clarify: We aren’t receiving payment from Sony nor have we struck a deal with PlayStation. Our aim was to release the game on Xbox and other platforms as well; we invested significant resources in this endeavor. Regrettably, our attempts failed due to poor communication from their end.

In another update from Jyamma Games on their platform (X or Twitter), they mention that the game is prepared for submission, however, due to Microsoft’s extended response times, it seems almost unattainable to finalize the process. It remains challenging to substantiate the claims made by Jyamma Games, and there appears to be little chance of obtaining official updates on this matter from Xbox. Nevertheless, it’s evident that the studio is experiencing significant disappointment as they’ve invested considerable funds and resources in developing an Xbox version without any set release date.

Currently, it’s uncertain how events will unfold for Xbox moving forward, and recent developments don’t offer an overly positive outlook. Meanwhile, gamers are eagerly anticipating the release of Black Myth: Wukong, potentially due to technical hurdles. Additionally, there are whispers among publishers about whether it’s wise to keep pouring resources into the Xbox brand. While these problems might not necessarily be interconnected, Xbox enthusiasts would likely appreciate a break from hearing about games skipping their platform or exclusives being launched on PS5 as well.

It seems that the whole situation might stem from a misunderstanding or miscommunication, and announcing it publicly may catch Microsoft’s attention. Fingers crossed, this matter gets resolved swiftly so that fans eagerly waiting for “Enotria: The Last Song” won’t have to wait too long before they can play it on Xbox.
