In 2025, this action-packed shooter blended with fantasy elements, developed by id Software and Bethesda Softworks, represents one of many Xbox exclusive releases. It offers a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, introducing significant changes to the gameplay mechanics through innovative concepts.
I was thoroughly delighted by the updates, to the point that I bestowed a prestigious perfect score on DOOM: The Dark Ages in my review. Consequently, since it’s a first-party game, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can jump right into playing without any additional fees. And just a quick heads-up, those who purchased the Premium Edition get to start playing two days ahead of schedule.
