News of an Angry Birds 3 movie….

In recent times, there’s been a surge in the success of film adaptations, excluding ‘Borderlands’. Super Mario Bros previously held the title for the highest-grossing film adaptation based on a game, but the Minecraft movie surpassed it by breaking opening weekend records and could potentially outdo Mario’s earnings. Now, we hear about an upcoming Angry Birds 3 movie.

The initial pair of animated films performed quite well, with the first movie from 2016 raking in an impressive $352 million. However, its 2019 sequel didn’t fare as well, collecting only $147 million. Yet, a third film is on the horizon, with Paramount Pictures planning to release it in theaters. Notable voices like Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride will reprise their roles as Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb.

New cast members will include Emma Myers (WednesdayA Minecraft Movie), Keke Palmer  (One of Them DaysNope), Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave with Tim RobinsonFriendship), Lily James (CinderellaBaby Driver), Marcello Hernandez (Saturday Night Live), Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), Sam Richardson (Ted LassoVeep), Anna Cathcart (XO KittyTo All the Boys I’ve Loved Before), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I EverTurning Red), Nikki Glaser (Golden Globe Awards, The Roast of Tom Brady), James Austin Johnson (Saturday Night Live), and Psalm West (Hulu’s The Kardashians).

The Angry Birds Movie 3 is directed by John Rice (The Angry Birds Movie, Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe) with a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman (The Angry Birds Movie 2The Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack).
Grammy Award-winning musician and composer Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, The Minions Movie, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish), who has scored all of the previous Angry Birds films, is returning to score The Angry Birds Movie 3.
The Angry Birds 3 movie will be released worldwide on 29th January 2027.
