For several years, Electronic Arts (EA) has been mobilizing numerous studios to develop the next instalment in the Battlefield series, and it appears that we’ll be experiencing the outcome of their efforts soon. During their latest quarterly earnings call, EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, hinted at this, indicating a release window for the first-person shooter game.
As per Wilson’s statement, the upcoming “Battlefield” is projected to debut in Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, spanning from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Historically, new “Battlefield” titles have been released towards the end of the year. This timing might imply that the next installment in the series could possibly be launched during the last few months of the year. Interestingly, rumors circulated approximately a year ago suggesting an October 2025 release date, and it seems this could still be under consideration based on recent information.
Just now, Electronic Arts unveiled a novel community playtest initiative for the upcoming “Battlefield” game. They’re eager for the community to actively contribute and shape the future direction of the series. Learn more about it through this link.
