As someone who has navigated the tumultuous world of Hollywood for decades now, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of empathy for Orlando Brown, a fellow artist who seems to be struggling. Nick Cannon, in his response, demonstrates a level of understanding and compassion that is rare in this industry. He sees past the sensational headlines and exploitative media outlets, recognizing the pain beneath it all.
Nick Cannon has shared his thoughts regarding the recent statements made by Orlando Brown concerning a reported incident involving them.
During a live stream on Twitch, hosted by Deshae Frost, the actor from That’s So Raven claimed that a 44-year-old individual had previously performed oral sex on him in the past.
In the video acquired by Hollywood Unlocked, Nick Cannon stated that he enjoys performing a specific action, which can be likened to “sucking cannons.” According to him, this is what he often does. He also mentioned that someone had performed this action on him, and he used the phrases “he sucked a good cannon from me,” “he sucked my cannon,” and “he licked my cannon” to describe it.
“Nick, you sucked my d–k,” he continued, “and don’t you ever forget it!”
Regarding Nick’s reaction, the comedian from Wild ‘n Out dismissed the allegations, expressing sympathy towards Orlando instead.
“Man I love this brother Orlando! Sincerely believe this young man is brilliant and beyond talented,” he wrote in a since-deleted comment. “It hurts me to see him crash out like this and truly disappointed in all these media outlets who continue to exploit him.”
On another occasion, the man who is a father to twelve previously refuted Orlando’s sexual encounter allegations. Interestingly, these claims first sparked widespread interest back in 2020, when a video of Orlando discussing the matter as he strolled through a store circulated widely online.
In the Instagram video, he stated multiple times that Nick performed an act of oral intimacy on him, which he found enjoyable and acceptable.
And it didn’t take long before Nick broke his silence.
“When I first saw this I thought it was f–king hilarious!!!!” he wrote in a January Instagram post alongside a screenshot of an article about the video. “But then after putting a little cognitive effort and analytical thought to the situation, I figured what a great opportunity for a ‘teachable moment’!”
To begin with, I want to express my prayers for Orlando, a young man whose talent I have admired even though we haven’t personally met. His work has always been something I appreciated and enjoyed. He was absolutely brilliant in the movie ‘Major Payne’, and made us laugh on the show ‘That’s So Raven’.
In essence, Nick acknowledges that life and growth under public scrutiny can be challenging, and he chose not to point fingers at Orlando; instead, he criticized the entertainment industry as a whole.
He clarified that Orlando’s experience, where he was exposed too early to a ruthless industry and left to navigate it on his own amidst legal troubles, is another vital instance showing the need for stronger protective measures for our budding artists. Essentially, we should establish more robust support systems for our young talents and prioritize their well-being.
He shared that he had watched numerous videos of this young individual, and what he observed was a desperate plea for help. He added, “I’m not sure if there are any genuine mentors or strong role models in his life, but let’s offer him support and guidance so he doesn’t become another tragic figure swept up by Hollywood’s challenges.
