Nick Cannon Reveals Why He Won’t Be “Responsible” and Get a Vasectomy

Nick Cannon is not ready to get snipped.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself often reflecting on the dynamics of diverse families, and in this case, I must share an interesting conversation. Recently, I had a chat with a comedian, who is a loving father to twelve children, each born to six different women. In jest, former NFL player Channing Crowder playfully suggested that it might be time for me to consider a vasectomy, hinting at the possibility of further family expansion. Despite my already bustling brood, I can’t help but wonder if there’s still room for growth in our loving family.

In a jocular manner, Nick remarked during the March 17th broadcast of his “We Playin’ Spades” podcast, “It seems like I need some sort of intervention,” but then admitted that having the procedure done was “the right choice for my health and well-being.

But, as he 44-year-old noted, “I’m not done.”

Well, you might find it hard to comprehend, but I see myself expanding our family further. I put my faith in the higher power, leaving such decisions ultimately to God’s plan for us.

Besides, the Nickelodeon alum pointed out that his balls have been insured for $10 million.

“That’s precious cargo,” he joked. “That’s why I said my work is not done.”

Nevertheless, Nick admits that regarding his family’s valuables, there’s one thing he regrets: the insurance policy of 10 million dollars. In an interview with TopMob News last year, he expressed his opinion that the coverage was inadequate.

“Should’ve been $12 million,” he said. “One for each kid.”

As a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: “It’s crucial for me to ensure my children’s well-being as I prepare for a time when my vitality may diminish.

For Nick, his blended brood is simply a blessing.

In a 2023 episode of The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman, he admitted that while he welcomed every child he had, not many were deliberately planned. Reflecting back to 2012 when he was married and newly diagnosed with Lupus, if someone had told him then that he would have 12 children ten years later, he would have found it unbelievable that he would ever intentionally plan such a large family or that it would actually come to pass.

Nick, who was wedded to Mariah Carey from 2008 until 2016, further expressed, “It’s almost as though when I experience these revelations or insights, if you prefer to label them as such, it’s like ‘Ah, now everything falls into place.’

As I ponder the idea of getting a vasectomy, I, Nick, find myself unwilling to shut off the possibility of God’s wonders.

As he put it, “The more the merrier. We roll the dice to the name and what you will build.”

I want to express my gratitude to my entire family, but particularly to Alyssa.
