Nick Jonas to Play KISS Legend Paul Stanley in Exciting Biopic

In the exciting world of entertainment, it’s been announced that Nick Jonas, a renowned member of the pop rock group The Jonas Brothers, is in talks to join the cast of an upcoming biopic about legendary band KISS. This project, titled “Shout It Out Loud,” is being helmed by director McG and writer Darren Lemke. If negotiations go well, Nick Jonas will portray Paul Stanley, also known as the Starchild, who is KISS’ frontman. Notably, Gene Simmons, famously known as the Demon, is also part of this project.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are part of a music biopic currently in development. This project is being handled by the Universal Music team that manages the band’s musical rights. Jody Gerson, Bruce Resnikoff, and Polygram’s David Blackman have taken on producer roles, with STX Entertainment (known for films like The Space Between Us, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, All the Money in the World) serving as the main studio. Additionally, McG, Mark Canton, Doc McGhee, Leigh Ann Burton, and Mary Viola are also involved as producers for this upcoming biopic titled Shout It Out Loud.

MCG, a renowned filmmaker, is recognized for his work in music video direction, particularly on “Charlie’s Angels” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”. His directorial portfolio also includes “Terminator Salvation”, “Rim of the World”, “The Babysitter”, and “The Babysitter: Killer Queen”. Darren Lemke, on the other hand, is a prolific screenwriter with credits in films such as “Goosebumps”, “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween”, “Gemini Man”, and the upcoming “Kung Fu Panda 4”. Additionally, he served as executive producer for the Amazon Prime Video series “The Wheel of Time”.

The iconic rock band, KISS, are responsible for popular hits such as “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Shout It Out Loud,” “I Was Made for Loving You,” and “God of Thunder.” They gained fame in 1974 with their self-titled album, but it was their groundbreaking live album, Alive!, that cemented their reputation for grandiose stage shows. Over the years, KISS has built a dedicated fanbase due to their flamboyant performances and unique merchandising options. For instance, Gene Simmons once sprayed blood from his mouth while flying through the air; Ace Frehley’s guitar produced fireworks; and Stanley consistently destroyed a guitar during the festivities and confetti. Attending a live KISS performance is an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind event.

Nick Jonas’ Short Acting Career Is Not Too Bad

Nick Jonas, primarily recognized for his singing career with the Jonas Brothers and as a solo artist, has surprisingly starred in more movies and TV shows than one might expect – likely due to his extensive experience as a Disney child actor. In fact, he’s appeared in films such as “Midway” and “Chaos Walking”, and has given commendable performances in series like “Careful What You Wish For” and “The Good Half”. Even though his roles in “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Jumanji: The Next Level” were relatively small, he still delivered notable performances in both.

Apart from his roles in series such as “Scream Queens” and “Kingdom”, where his performance in the latter is particularly noteworthy, he has also made a mark in theater. His love for theater dates back to his childhood, which allowed him to secure significant theater roles. These include adaptations of “The Sound of Music,” “Les Misérables,” and “Hairspray.” Given his diverse portfolio, it is evident that he is an ideal choice to portray the iconic artist who was once linked with a popular band rumored to be involved in “Satanic music.
