Nick Knowles praises Strictly partner Luba as he confirms decision for Saturday

As a long-time Strictly fan, I must admit that this season has been nothing short of a rollercoaster! The news about Nick Knowles‘ injury had me genuinely worried, but thankfully, he’s back on track (or rather, the dance floor)!

Earlier this week, supporters found themselves anxiously waiting and keeping their fingers crossed, as Strictly Come Dancing’s Nick Knowles disclosed that he had hurt his arm and shoulder while changing a tire on his car, leaving doubt about his ability to dance in the current show’s episode.

It’s great news that Knowles has received a clean bill of health, no longer needs a sling for his arm, and is all set to dance on Saturday.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! My dancing partner and I have received the green light to perform this coming Saturday. Here’s a glimpse of our shared enthusiasm in this video.

These past few days have been quite intriguing, packed with scans, physical therapies, and countless acts of kindness from others. Everybody has been simply fantastic. I appreciate each and every one of your supportive messages. Looking forward to seeing you all this Saturday, where we’ll be dancing…

Later on, Mushtuk declared that their dance style would be a “Foxtrot with an American Smooth rhythm, set to the tune of ‘Parklife’, which is by Blur, as Knowles clarified.

I’m over the moon and still can’t seem to wrap my head around it, but it’s true – we’re dancing this weekend! Luba’s a wizard at teaching and so understanding – we’ve had just two days to master the dance steps! Bring on the American Smooth 🕺🏼💃🏼 @bbcstrictly #strictlycomesdancing

It was additionally verified on the Thursday edition of Strictly’s companion show, It Takes Two, as Janette Manrara disclosed earlier in the week, Nick Knowles had an injury while changing his car tire, and was uncertain about dancing on Saturday.

“Good news! Nick is rehearsing again with Luba and will perform the American Smooth this coming weekend. We’re excited to see it! However, remember next time, Nick, don’t attempt to change a tire on your own; ask for help instead.

Prior to the commencement of this year’s Strictly season, Knowles expressed optimism during a conversation about his training process. When questioned about the impact of having chaperones in training rooms this season, he shared his thoughts on the matter.

He clarified that since they’ve just begun their voyage, their connection with the team is essentially their entire experience up to this point.

As a film enthusiast putting it in my own words, I must express that the care we’re receiving is nothing short of extraordinary, particularly from our dance partners and management. They’ve ensured we have psychological support whenever we need someone to talk to at any given moment. Furthermore, they’ve provided us with physiotherapists to keep us in top shape. It’s a comforting thought to know that we’re well taken care of in every aspect.

“So from our point of view, it’s an amazing experience.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday evening.
