In 2005, when he reintroduced Doctor Who, some of us who grew up watching Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, and Tom Baker couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in skepticism, exchanging quiet “Good luck with that” looks among ourselves.

As a dedicated cinephile, I was taken aback by nothing less than the grandeur of its comeback – bigger, brighter, and sharper than ever before. This stunning transformation was no secret to the visionary mastermind behind it all, David Davies.
