Nikki and Brie Garcia Open Up About Strength, Sisterhood, and Self-Prioritization After a Tough Year

What doesn’t kill Nikki Garcia and Brie Garcia makes them stronger.

On their show, “The Nikki and Brie Show,” the hosts looked back on the various challenges they’ve experienced during the past year, such as Nikki’s legal issues and her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev. These experiences have helped them gain insights about themselves and each other.

In the unique conversation she had with TopMob News, Nikki expressed, “I’m more powerful than I previously believed,” during a special event at Radio Row prior to Super Bowl LIX alongside Brie. “Sometimes, it takes going through certain situations to truly understand this.

For WWE Hall of Famer and Artem, who both have a 4-year-old son named Matteo, their divorce agreement was finalized in November, two months after Artem’s arrest on suspicion of felony domestic violence charges stemming from an incident at their joint home in Northern California where they previously resided together.

Initially, local authorities decided not to pursue the charge further, but both parties had filed restraining orders claiming the other was the instigator. In the end, they reached a settlement and voluntarily dropped their respective restraining orders. Throughout this ordeal, Nikki found solace in Brie’s support.

Nikki clarified, “My sister is someone I can always count on, no matter what challenges we face together.” She added, “It’s much like the promises made during a wedding ceremony. You share a bond with your sibling, similar to that of a marriage.

And her sister agreed wholeheartedly with that sentiment, adding a simple, “‘til death do us part!”

2024, the year that’s left quite an impact on me, a die-hard fan and wife of none other than the legendary Bryan Danielson, aka WWE alum Daniel Bryan. This year, I found myself reassessing, reshaping, and realigning my priorities.

She shared with TopMob that she’s arrived at a stage in her life where if something doesn’t benefit her or she lacks the enthusiasm for it, she won’t invest her energy into it anymore. It’s quite satisfying to frequently decline and be content with her current life situation, as whatever else life brings her is an added bonus because she’s incredibly happy with life at the moment.

After all, the former wrestler had a pretty resilient twin sister to inspire her along the way.

In the shared interview, Brie told Nikki, “You’ve taught me too that it takes courage to put on a strong front, as we both understand that criticism comes from those who dislike us, but the Bellas will always shine.
