The confirmation of Ninja Gaiden 4 is official, but if you’re eagerly anticipating its release, there’s some exciting news to tide you over! As it turns out, Ninja Gaiden 2: Black is now available today for Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass. You can watch the announcement trailer below for more information.
The thought behind the Unreal Engine 5 remaster originated from feedback received after the release of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Many fans expressed their desire to revisit the original version. Fumihiko Yasuda, head of Team Ninja, confirmed to Xbox Wire that this remaster has been designed with a focus on appealing to both those who played the original game and new players encountering it as a contemporary action title for current-generation consoles.
The new version maintains the difficulty level and atmosphere of the original Xbox 360 game (not to mention its graphic violence), but it also includes elements from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. The upgrade system for weapons is similar to the original as well. In addition to Ryu Hayabusa, players can control other characters such as Ayane, Momiji, and Rachel in this version.
Keep an eye out for further updates regarding the upcoming remaster. In the meantime, it’s worth noting that “Ninja Gaiden 4” is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass this Fall. The game brings back Ryu Hayabusa as a main character and introduces a new figure named Yakumo.
