Wow, I couldn’t believe my eyes when Team Ninja and PlatinumGames dropped the bombshell about Ninja Gaiden 4! It’s been a long wait since the last mainline title in 2012, but the sneak peek at the gameplay has me absolutely thrilled. Apparently, these studios have been collaborating covertly for years on this sequel, and the results are shaping up to be nothing short of spectacular!
According to a conversation with Xbox Wire, PlatinumGames’ director and producer Yuji Nakao shared that the project is approximately 70-80% finished, moving into the refinement stage. They will collaborate closely with Team NINJA to perfect every detail, aiming to meet fans’ expectations. To give players a better idea of how engaging and thrilling this game will be, additional information is on its way – so keep an eye out!
It’s possible there could be an opportunity for early gameplay sessions before the release of Rise of the Ronin. The team leader, Fumihiko Yasuda, mentioned they are exploring methods to offer chances for hands-on experiences. A pre-release demo might be unlikely as this has not been the case for Nioh 1, Nioh 2, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, nor was it the case for Rise of the Ronin, which had a post-launch demo instead.
This Fall, Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Additionally, it’s available on Game Pass from the get-go. Meanwhile, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black has been discreetly launched today for Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass. For more information, check it out here.
