Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Reveals Second Playable Character in Stunning Trailer

We have a soft spot for 2D action games with a vintage feel, and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound appears to be one of the most captivating titles yet to come.

This newly released gameplay trailer showcases Kumori, who’s one of the two main characters, in the retro-style action platformer created by The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous).

In the world of Ninja Gaiden, Kumori belongs to the Black Spider Clan, a recurring enemy faction that has been at odds for quite some time.

In Ragebound, on the contrary, Kumori finds herself needing to join forces with the main character, Kenji, who is still undergoing his training from Ryu Hayabusa.

The duo exhibits distinct fighting styles, where Kenji predominantly employs a katana for potent close-quarter combat, while Kumori focuses on agility and distance with her kunai, enabling her to attack from various directions.

It seems like the two characters’ abilities will blend together at an early point in the narrative, allowing you to utilize their skills concurrently.

In most instances, you’ll manage Kenji, but occasionally, Kumori will momentarily reappear in a physical body during specific parts.

Each character offers unique advantages; for instance, Kenji has passive enhancements, while Kumori can unleash potent special moves through her Shadow Arts.

From our vantage point, it appears incredibly stylish, and the concept of two main characters intertwining makes for a captivating visual spectacle.
