Nintendo Direct DEAD? Insider SHOCKS Fans!

For quite some time now, it’s become customary for Nintendo Direct presentations to occur in the month of February. These presentations don’t always follow the same structure; some concentrate on a specific game, such as the 2020 event that showcased Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In contrast, certain years have hosted Partner Showcases instead, like the one in February 2024. Regardless of the format, presentations in February have been a consistent feature during the Nintendo Switch era. Even though we’re aware of an April 2nd event centered around the Nintendo Switch 2, fans continue to anticipate a February livestream focusing on the current system.

As we’ve moved well into February, Nintendo hasn’t given any hint about an announcement yet, keeping fans guessing. Some are looking to Nate the Hate, who correctly predicted the reveal date of the Nintendo Switch 2. Yet, even Nate is uncertain if there will be a presentation this month. In response to a user on Twitter, the leaker stated that he doesn’t have any solid information to share at the moment.

Nate the Hate responded to a post saying, “At the moment, I don’t have any information regarding a potential February Direct. There are rumors about it, but I haven’t received any concrete details about its existence or possible date.

Even though there might not be a Nintendo Direct this time around, it doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t receive any updates from Nintendo over the following two months. The annual Pokemon Day is just around the corner on February 27th, and while official announcements about new details haven’t been made yet, historically, we’ve seen a Pokemon Presents livestream on that day. This year could potentially bring us plenty of fresh information about Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is scheduled to release at some point in 2025. Since its announcement last year during Pokemon Day, we haven’t heard anything new about the game, but there’s a good chance we might soon!

Alongside being Pokemon Day on March 10th, it’s also known as Mario Day. Typically, Nintendo marks this occasion by offering discounts for their iconic character, Mario. Last year, however, there was more than just price drops – we received release dates for both “Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door” and the HD version of “Luigi’s Mansion 2”, and even an announcement about a new installment in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” series. Although no Nintendo Direct is scheduled this month, there’s a possibility that we might hear some Mario updates around four weeks from now.

It’s important to note that Nate the Hate didn’t confirm or deny a Nintendo Direct this month; he simply mentioned he doesn’t have any inside knowledge about it. This means that while we might not get an update this month, there’s still a chance for one in the future. For now, fans will need to stay patient and keep their fingers crossed for an official announcement from Nintendo. Regardless of what happens, 2025 promises to be an exhilarating year with plenty of reasons to be excited!
