Nintendo has officially unveiled the long-awaited Switch 2, and it appears that this new gaming system will be their main priority moving forward. Surprisingly, it seems that the original Switch is still holding strong, as further information about its upcoming games is expected to be revealed shortly.
Following the unveiling of the Switch 2, a well-known Nintendo leak source, PH Brazil, posted on Famiboards forums hinting at another Nintendo Direct broadcast in February. Similarly, leaker NateTheHate mentioned this on his podcast, adding that the focus would be on upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch rather than its successor.
The game “Donkey Kong Country Returns HD” is now available on the Switch, and there are several other first-party games planned to debut on this platform later in the year. These include the “Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition”, “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond”, and “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”.
If a presentation takes place in February as planned, it’s expected that all those games will be viewed from a fresh perspective. However, Pokémon might choose to sit this one out, just like it often does, particularly since there’s rumored to be a Pokémon Presents showcase scheduled for the same month.
