For the first time, Jupiter Corporation, known for creating the beloved Picross series at Nintendo, is making its newest game available on various platforms such as PlayStation 4.
Originally available only on Nintendo systems, the studio has introduced a new game called Logiart Grimoire. This game includes nonogram logic puzzles, which are similar in appearance to those found in the Picross series. Interestingly, the Switch version of this game is actually named “Picross: Logiart Grimoire”.
If you’re not already aware, nonograms refer to a type of puzzle where you fill certain cells within a grid based on numbers provided for each row and column. These numbers help you decide which squares to color and which to leave empty, ultimately unveiling a picture when the puzzle is solved.
The Logiart Grimoire includes numerous enigmas, and it expands on these mysteries by weaving a storyline where you assist Emil, the grimoire’s guardian, in regaining his magical powers and restoring the title artifact.
This isn’t the initial PlayStation game that uses nonogram puzzles, but it will mark the debut of a Picross-like game (essentially) on Sony platforms. The release date is set for April 24th at a price point of $19.99.
