The Famicom Detective Club series was initially introduced in Japan on the Famicom console back in the day, but it didn’t reach North America until a Switch remaster in 2021. Emio – The Smiling Man, which is the latest addition to this series, marks the first entirely new game in over three decades. Veteran creator Yoshio Sakamoto has come back to lead this project. In the upcoming game, “Emio – The Smiling Man,” both the leading character from the past two installments and Ayumi Tachibana make their comeback. For the first time in the series, Ayumi will be playable, requiring gamers to manage both personas as they work together to uncover clues, explore leads, and untangle the enigma.
