Today’s Nintendo Direct presentation was jam-packed with brand new gameplay previews and announcements for a variety of upcoming titles, including the much-anticipated “Metroid Prime 4” and “Marvel Cosmic Invasion”, among others. Although many of these exciting announcements require patience as we wait for their release, not all games unveiled during the Direct have waiting periods attached. In fact, Nintendo surprised fans by releasing several games straightaway! Trailer reveals were swiftly followed by the announcement that games like “Disney Villains Cursed Cafe” are already available to play on your Nintendo Switch right now. Here are the three games that made a surprise appearance on the Nintendo Switch during today’s showcase, in case you missed them amidst all the rapid-fire announcements.
SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered
In 1999, Square Enix’s Role-Playing Game (RPG) titled “Saga Frontier 2” was initially released, and now it’s been fully remastered for the Nintendo Switch platform. This upgrade enhances the graphics, introduces new storylines, and fine-tunes gameplay mechanics to make this beloved RPG appealing to modern gamers. Earlier in 2021, the precursor to the series, “Saga Frontier,” was also remastered for the Nintendo Switch, allowing players to reexperience both games as of today.
As per the announcement video, the remastered version of Saga Frontier 2, titled “Saga Frontier 2 Remastered,” is now accessible on the Nintendo eShop from March 27th. However, please note that the eShop might require some time to update this addition and other releases today, so it may not immediately show up.
Rift of the NecroDancer
The popular rhythm game, “Rift of the NecroDancer,” has unexpectedly appeared on Nintendo Switch today as well. Initially launched in February for PC via Steam, “Rift of the Necrodancer” has garnered a remarkable Overwhelmingly Positive review since its debut. The developer had hinted they would eventually bring this game inspired by “Guitar Hero” to the Nintendo Switch, and now we know it’s happening!
Rift of the NecroDancer will be available in the Nintendo eShop starting today, March 27th.
Disney Villains Cursed Cafe
For enthusiasts of Disney who are searching for a fresh gaming experience, the latest Nintendo Direct presentation unveiled an unexpected treat – the sudden release of Disney Villains Cursed Cafe. In this innovative twist on a charming Disney game, players will prepare enchanting concoctions for Disney villains, helping to steer their narratives. It appears that tea-making games are currently trending within the comfort-focused gaming community, and a Disney interpretation of the concept is likely to be well received.
Today sees an unexpected addition to the Nintendo Switch eShop – Disney Villains Cursed Cafe will be available starting March 27th. The specific launch time hasn’t been disclosed yet, so if you’re eager to stir up potions with Yzma, stay tuned for further announcements on the storefront.
As a dedicated Nintendo Switch gamer, it’s always thrilling to hear about three fresh games joining our console family. Whether you’re grooving to rhythmic beats, embracing your inner Disney villain, or diving into another captivating JRPG, this trio of new titles offers something for everyone on the Nintendo Switch platform. The wait may be brief before we can officially purchase these games, but in the meantime, the anticipation is building!
