It’s been buzzed that Nintendo Switch 2 could soon unveil three upcoming games. As of now, it appears that Nintendo will officially disclose the Switch 2 within the next 48 hours. Although Nintendo hasn’t confirmed this yet, there have been several reliable leaks and reports suggesting an announcement on January 16th about the hardware. Initially, it’s said that the unveiling won’t focus on games, but we do have some hints about possible third-party games that could be in development for Switch 2.
Insider Nate the Hate has shared some exciting news: it appears that three games – Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows – are currently in development for the upcoming Switch 2 console. While a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta has yet to be announced, there’s speculation that it could hit stores as early as 2025. Assassin’s Creed Mirage, on the other hand, is expected to launch around the same time as the Switch 2. Lastly, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is still in active development by Ubisoft, but its release may be a bit further down the line.
As a devoted Nintendo fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: A trusted source within Nintendo circles, known as PH Brazil, hints that Atlus might be planning to bring “Metaphor: ReFantazio” to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. While it won’t be a launch title for the new console, we can expect to see it during the console’s debut period.
This move by Atlus is not surprising if we consider that games like “Persona 3 Portable,” “Persona 4 Golden,” and “Persona 5 Royal” (among others) have all made their way to the Switch recently, indicating a strong partnership between Nintendo and Atlus.
If all these anticipated games eventually launch on the potential Switch 2 console, it indicates a strong third-party backing for the system. However, what’s still unclear is what original Nintendo games will appear on the Switch 2. It’s been widely speculated that a new Super Mario game might be one of the standout titles for the Nintendo Switch 2 during its debut year and possibly even simultaneous with the platform launch. If this speculation proves true, we may get additional information about this upcoming Super Mario game sometime in the near future – perhaps as early as this week.
