In the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation, they revealed an exciting new function called GameShare. This feature, exclusive to the Switch 2, enables players to momentarily grant access to their local multiplayer games to another user who also owns the console. Simultaneously, up to three other consoles can partake in the shared gameplay experience at once.
Remarkably, GameShare appears functional across various devices such as Switch 2, Switch, or Switch Lite. Even games that necessitate individual screens for each player can be enjoyed via GameShare, as evidenced by a video demonstration featuring four Switch consoles playing a card game, each displaying its unique set of cards.
GameShare allows local players to join in on online games by connecting with other players worldwide. This feature will be accessible for games that have already been launched on the Nintendo Switch via software upgrades. The video showcases some games receiving this functionality, such as Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, Super Mario Odyssey, and Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will offer a feature called GameShare on exclusive titles. Keep in mind though, not all games are eligible for this feature.
