To enjoy virtual game cards, it’s essential that your compatible system is connected to a Nintendo Account. Please note that exclusive games for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition can only be played on the Nintendo Switch 2 system itself.
By distinguishing between “Switch 2 exclusive” games and “Switch 2 Edition” games, Nintendo might be hinting at two different categories: native games developed specifically for the upcoming Switch 2 console with the former, and enhanced or remastered versions of existing Switch 1 titles in the latter.
