As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that the announcement of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team coming to Nintendo Switch Online has stirred a sense of nostalgia within me. Back in the day, I remember spending countless hours on the original Game Boy Advance, battling and exploring with my trusty team of Pokemon.
A fresh game for Nintendo Switch Online’s collection of Game Boy Advance games has been announced, available exclusively to those with a premium subscription.
On Twitter, Nintendo has shared that the game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team will be accessible via Nintendo Switch Online starting August 9. If you’re a subscriber to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, you’ll be able to play it a week from now!
As a devoted Pokémon fan, I was thrilled to be part of the initial pair of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team adventures, launching simultaneously with its counterpart, the Blue Rescue Team, on the Nintendo DS back in the day.
It’s worth noting that a revamped version of the popular dungeon exploration games in the roguelike genre, commonly known as, can be found on the Nintendo Switch under the title Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. Our criticism focused on its combat, dungeon design, and the repetitiveness of the overall experience.
