Nintendo Switch Online Playtest Announced for “New Feature”, Starts October 23rd

As a seasoned Nintendo Switch Online subscriber and someone who has been eagerly awaiting any new feature announcements, I can hardly contain my excitement! The opportunity to participate in this playtest is like striking gold for me. My fingers are poised over the keyboard, ready to pounce as soon as that registration website goes live on October 10th.

For the first time since its launch, Nintendo is planning to conduct a trial run for their Nintendo Switch Online service. This trial will take place from October 23rd, 6 PM Pacific Time, to November 5th, 4:59 PM Pacific Time. The purpose of this trial is to test a new feature that is yet to be announced and will be rolled out on the service at an unspecified future date.

Starting October 10th at 8 PM Pacific Time, individuals can sign up for this site until October 15th, 7:59 PM. To qualify, you need to be eighteen years old and possess a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. If the total number of registrants surpasses a specific limit, participants residing in Japan will be chosen randomly through a raffle process.

In countries outside of Japan, such as the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, the playtest is now accessible. Since it’s a first-come, first-served basis, apply promptly once the website becomes active. Once you’ve entered, testers will download particular Nintendo Switch software. As of now, we don’t know what the new feature might be, but keep an eye out for further details in the upcoming months.

On October 10th at 8:00 AM Pacific Time, we’ll conduct a test for a fresh feature of the Nintendo Switch Online service, exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch. From the get-go, those who are already subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will have the opportunity to join, on a first-come, first-served basis.
