7 Actors Who Were in 80s Horror Movies Before They Were Famous

To clarify, there are some specific conditions. First off, the film must have been produced during the 1980s, which means movies like “Grizzly II: Revenge” with stars like Laura Dern, George Clooney, and Charlie Sheen aren’t applicable here. Secondly, we focused on actors who gained significant fame afterwards but were primarily recognized for their work in that specific horror film. For instance, Bruce Campbell, known mainly for the “Evil Dead” franchise, was excluded as his debut in “The Evil Dead” (1981) didn’t fit our criteria. Lastly, we looked at actors who had more substantial roles in the horror movie, so performances like John Goodman in “C.H.U.D.” were not considered due to their minor roles.

Pokemon Voice Actor of Gary Oak, James & Meowth, James Carter Cathcart, Dies at 71

Among a handful of actors, he was one who continued with the show following The Pokémon Company’s decision to change voice actors in 2006. Additionally, he contributed to the scriptwriting of the Pokémon series for several seasons. Apart from his work on Pokémon, Cathcart was particularly recognized for his role as Weevil in Yu-Gi-Oh!, and for providing voices in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Sonic X, and the 4Kids dub of One Piece. According to recent reports, he leaves behind a spouse and other loved ones.

Since Lynch is no longer around to collaborate, it seems that Frost is content with how the series concluded. “We had discussed a few ideas about where a fourth season might lead,” said Frost, “but with David being gone now, it’s challenging to envision continuing anything beyond this point.” He added, “It definitely feels like it wrapped up the story nicely.

In the case of timeless classics, there’s always room for creative adaptation if it remains fresh and resonates with a contemporary audience,” Barnes noted. “I believe these tales have an inherent quality that enables them to convey captivating allegories about themes like hope, virtue, and faith through imaginative storytelling. I find it intriguing to imagine how she might approach such a retelling. I’m excited that [Narnia] is being reimagined.
