As a gamer who’s seen it all, from the rise and fall of gaming giants to the rebirth of forgotten classics, I can honestly say that No Man’s Sky is one of the most remarkable comeback stories in the history of video games.

After more than eight years following the contentious debut of No Man’s Sky, user reviews on Steam have consistently improved for Hello Games’ masterpiece. It has just reached a significant achievement, with All Reviews now classified as “Very Positive” for the first time. As I write this, 248,701 user reviews express approval for this space exploration game.

Indeed, it wasn’t solely time and forgiveness that led to this transformation; rather, Hello Games consistently released significant updates one after another. Martin Griffiths, an engine programmer, emphasized this in a recent tweet, highlighting the crucial role of resilience and the determination to “attempt and attempt again if you initially falter.

After the launch, Studio founder Sean Murray expressed his gratitude for the synchronicity in a post-launch conversation with Griffiths. He mentioned that the positive rating meant a great deal to him and emphasized that the team still has much work ahead as they are far from completion.
