Here is an overview of the game, via Spike Chunsoft:

About

Kaname Date’s Sleepless Night – AI: The Somnium Files” introduces a fresh gameplay aspect called “Escape.” As in previous installments, during the “Investigation” phase, players scrutinize crime sites and hear statements. In the “Somnium” part, they delve into the dreamscapes of suspects and essential witnesses. The novel “Escape” segments demand solving conundrums to free locked chambers. By switching between these three modes, gamers can gather the vital pieces of evidence needed to crack the case.

In this new installment of the game, Spike Chunsoft’s Kazuya Yamada is penning the script, while Kotaro Uchikoshi, our previous scriptwriter, is serving as the series director. Yusuke Kozaki is back on board as the character designer, and Keisuke Ito will once again handle the music composition duties.
