Nobody Gets a New 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition In Time For The Sequel

In 2021, the movie titled “Nobody,” featuring Bob Odenkirk, became an unexpected sensation by drawing upon the same factors that propelled the John Wick series to fame. You’ll understand why it achieved this success as you continue reading. Before we proceed, I’d like to inform you that a special Limited Edition 4K Steelbook Version of the film is now up for pre-order at Universal Studio’s GRUV site for $29.99 (enter the code SIGNUP20 during checkout for a 20% discount). This version should also become available on Amazon shortly. The Blu-ray version is scheduled for release on July 29th, providing ample time to watch it before “Nobody 2” hits theaters on August 15th.

You might have observed a resemblance between the mood and approach of the movie “Nobody” and the “John Wick” series – but it’s essential to clarify that this isn’t a copycat production. Derek Kolstad, who wrote both the film (and its sequel) and is the mastermind behind the John Wick franchise, penned “Nobody”. Surprised? There’s more! David Leitch, who was a co-producer and director on the initial John Wick movie, later became a producer for “Nobody”. Given these connections, it becomes clearer to view “Nobody” as a spinoff from the John Wick universe. Exciting news for fans, as both “Nobody 2” and “Ballerina” are scheduled to premiere in cinemas this summer!

Keep in mind that the 4K Blu-ray of this movie isn’t the initial Steelbook release; previous ones were sold out long ago. However, since it’s a limited edition, it too is likely to sell out eventually. So, if you’re interested, get it here before it disappears. The extra features will encompass the following:

  • ENGLISH DOLBY ATMOS TRACK
  • Feature Audio Commentary with Actor/Producer Bob Odenkirk and Director Ilya Naishuller
  • Breaking Down The Action – Featurette
  • Just A Nobody – Featurette
  • Hutch hits Hard
  • Deleted Scenes

Overview: Bob Odenkirk, a multiple Emmy winner known for Better Call Saul, The Post, and Nebraska, portrays Hutch Mansell, a seemingly ordinary father and husband who endures life’s slights without retaliation. Often overlooked and underestimated. One fateful night, intruders burglarize his suburban home, prompting Hutch to refrain from defending himself or his family, aiming to minimize violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe from The Shack), feels let down by him, while his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen from Wonder Woman), appears to grow increasingly distant.

Following the incident, Hutch’s suppressed anger ignites, awakening hidden instincts and setting him on a violent journey. This journey will uncover dark truths and reveal dormant abilities. In a series of blows, gunfire, and screeching tires, Hutch fights to protect his family from a formidable enemy (Aleksey Serebryakov, famed Russian actor known for Amazon’s McMafia)—and prove that he is not to be underestimated anymore.
