The chilling modern adaptation of the 1922 horror masterpiece “Nosferatu,” directed by Robert Eggers, can now be streamed digitally. On February 18, 2025, the film will be released in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. In addition to the original running time, the expanded edition of the movie includes four additional minutes of fresh material. During an interview with Esquire UK, director Eggers revealed that a longer version of Nosferatu exists. He explained, “The first shot is intriguing because it’s one of those details film enthusiasts might notice. It’s a visually striking shot we really liked, but it was actually undermining the tension since it gave away Bill’s presence when we wanted to keep his mystery intact. However, if you decide to buy the Blu-ray, this extended scene can be found in the longer version of the film.
Although it hasn’t been officially verified, rumors circulate that Eggers might be working on a new adaptation of the cherished 1986 fantasy musical movie titled “Labyrinth.
