Not a Ladies’ Man

Kody Brown may have had four wives at the same time, but according to him, he’s no “ladies’ man.”

As a devoted follower, I’d like to share my reflections, having been a part of the Sister Wives family for more than two years since my relationships with Meri Brown, my first legal spouse, as well as partners Janelle Brown and Christine Brown came to an end.

In simpler terms, Kody expressed to Robyn Brown during the May 11 episode of their TLC reality show that he doesn’t consider himself someone who attracts many women. He also clarified that, as a polygamist, he never made such claims due to religious reasons.

Inside the confession booth, the 56-year-old debated word meanings. “I had four spouses, nothing more,” he declared. “Being married to four women doesn’t make me a charmer among ladies.

Speaking as a devoted fan, Robyn, who shares children Dayton, Aurora, Breanna, Solomon, and Ariella with Kody, couldn’t help but echo what seems to be the general consensus about her husband. “Well, let me tell you,” she said in a private reflection, “Kody had four wives. To most people, that would make him quite the ‘man of many ladies’, wouldn’t it?

Kody Brown may have had four wives at the same time, but according to him, he’s no “ladies’ man.”

Two years on from the end of his relationships with his former spouses Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown, the star of Sister Wives, who has a total of 18 children, delved into a personal introspection publicly.

In the episode of our reality show on May 11, I shared with Robyn Brown and our children that I don’t see myself as someone who easily attracts women, or a ‘lady’s man.’ I wanted to clarify this because, as a practicing polygamist, I never intended to imply that I was a ladies’ man due to my religious beliefs.

Within the confines of the confessional, the 56-year-old debated terminology. “I was married to four women,” he admitted. “I wasn’t a charmer with women. Being married to four women doesn’t equate to being a charmer with women.

Robyn, who has children Dayton (25), Aurora (23), Breanna (21), Solomon (13), and Ariella (9) with Kody, expressed her perspective on him in her own words. “He indeed had four wives,” she said, implying that many people might view him as a ‘man who is popular among women’ or something similar.

When it comes to ladies, Kody appears to be smitten with the one who stayed.

During our family dinner on the 20th of April, as featured on ‘Sister Wives’, he expressed his deep affection by stating, ‘I’m deeply in love with her.’

Previously, Kody openly admitted that managing his multiple marital relationships was challenging, particularly with regard to apportioning his time fairly among his spouses.

He admitted during the February 2nd episode of the TLC series that he often made decisions about spending time with Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn on the fly, saying “I was winging it most of the time.” Reflecting back now, he feels his approach to living a plural marriage may have been too casual or unstructured.

For Robyn, it seems like there are no lingering emotions about the situation since she admitted that she “didn’t give much thought” to her husband’s daily schedule. She was content whether he was absent or present, stating, “I was alright in his absence and I was alright when he was there.” To her, it was a positive outcome regardless of his presence.

Look back at the love lives of Sister Wives stars.

Kody Brown once humorously commented on the television show ‘Sister Wives’ that when he met Robyn in 2009, she reminded him of a soccer mom. He joked about her having a van, three children, and being divorced, saying he didn’t need those complications in his life. However, over a decade later, they are still together, and they have since welcomed two more children, Solomon and Ariella, into their family.

Regarding involving other team members, it’s not part of our strategy. To be honest, it’s a tough thing for me because it seems like, ‘Well, those didn’t work. So, let’s try someone else,'” Robyn expressed in the December special of Sister Wives: One on One, discussing Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown‘s departure. “It’s challenging for me. It feels disrespectful.

In January 2024, a year following their announced separation, Meri disclosed on Instagram that she had started seeing Amos Andrews back in October of the previous year. However, in February 2024, Meri also shared on Instagram that their relationship had ended.

Christine officially became David Woolley’s partner on Valentine’s Day 2023 and expressed her feelings as follows: “At last, I have found the love of my life in David. The moment he held me close, it felt as if my soul was taking its first breath. He is kind and amazing with my children, and a lovable grandpa. I never imagined I could find such profound love.”

Two months later, their fairy tale deepened when David proposed in the spring. Christine shared with People magazine: “David makes me feel like a queen and tells me I’m beautiful every day. I have never felt this kind of love before, and the world seems more vibrant with him by my side.”

Their wedding took place in Utah on October 7, and Christine wrote, “I am so fortunate! I’ve married my best friend.

The eldest child among the Brown family’s 18 kids, Janelle’s firstborn daughter, tied the knot with Caleb Brush at an outdoor wedding in Montana in 2016, which was documented by TLC’s cameras. Almost a decade later, they expanded their family and welcomed a new member named Emilia into their household. By March 2025, Emilia joined her older siblings Axel, Evie, and Josephine.

Maddie from North Carolina shared on Instagram that our precious little one took her time, leaving us all guessing, but when she finally made up her mind – it was instant! She was born on March 14th and she was simply flawless.

Four years following the airing of their engagement on the TLC reality show, Meri’s sole child moved to Denver and established residency with Audrey Kriss.

In 2022, Leon gushed about their partner, saying, “You’re my most beautiful melody.” He continued, “Living life with you is pure sweetness.” Audrey agreed, expressing, “Being your partner and witnessing your development and self-discovery over the years has been a privilege and source of joy for me.

In 2022, Logan, the eldest child from the Brown family, reunited his group when he married his long-term partner, Michelle Petty, in Arizona. On Instagram, Janelle expressed that it was a beautiful day and her heart was melting throughout the ceremony. She added that there’s always a sense of tranquility when one’s children find exceptional life partners.

Six years after her 2016 wedding with Antonio “Tony” Padron, Mykelti playfully admitted that their marriage vows had been stretched to the limit by the arrival of twins Archer and Ace in November 2022. On Instagram, she mentioned they’ve already raised three children and experienced four moves together. “We’ve had a lot of joyous moments and some challenging ones #surprisetwins,” Mykelti wrote, “But we’re still going strong with this marriage journey.”

Ever since their wedding in 2018, Christine’s eldest daughter and her husband, Mitch Thompson, have ventured to numerous locations such as Paris and Alaska. However, in December 2022, they decided to establish a permanent residence, as Mitch announced on Instagram, “We’ve finally purchased our first home! Perfect timing for Christmas.

Aspyn announced her pregnancy with the couple’s first baby in April 2025.

Prior to completing their first year as a couple, Christine’s third-born daughter Beatriz Queiroz and her partner celebrated six months together with chocolate fondue at the most joyful location on the planet. Later in November 2022, Gwendlyn offered a peek into the romantic, candlelit, rose-filled proposal on Instagram, expressing her excitement with the simple caption, “I’m engaged!!”. In July 2023, they officially tied the knot, with Queiroz becoming “Mrs. (x2)” as depicted in a photo from their ceremony.
