Not Going Out Renewed for 2026 Season with Episode 101 and Exciting Time Jumps

The popular BBC comedy series, “Not Going Out“, is coming back with a fresh season in June. To make things even better for its fans, more episodes are set to air again in the year 2026!

Initially appearing on our screens back in 2006, this show has steadily grown in popularity as we’ve watched the characters played by Lee Mack (Lee) and Sally Bretton (Lucy). Starting from a possible romantic relationship, their storyline evolved into marriage and family life.

Upon the announcement of its renewal, series star and creator Lee Mack expressed his joy, stating that the BBC’s continued backing for the studio sitcom is truly heartening. Being part of a genre he’s long admired makes it both an honor and a convenient reason to avoid shopping, as he often keeps the underwear provided at home.

In much the same way, Jon Petrie, BBC’s Comedy Director, commented: “Not Going Out is thriving as it surpasses its 100th episode, thanks to the exceptional creativity of Lee Mack. His remarkable talent for cramming a show with jokes never ceases to amaze us. We can’t wait for viewers to see what fresh developments await Lee and Lucy in the upcoming chapters.

In summary, “Not Going Out” is currently Britain’s longest-running sitcom still airing, and it ranks as the UK’s second longest-running by the number of series (placing fifth when considering the total number of episodes).

As a movie enthusiast, I found myself cast as an extra in the Dragon Castle set for a well-known TV mini-series. However, my ambition got the better of me and I started to aspire for a leading role instead. In another instance, at Hotel Room, I took full advantage of my collection of free discount vouchers to enjoy an overnight stay at a mid-tier hotel. Needless to say, I made sure to make the most of all the complimentary services they had to offer.

Over the course of 14 seasons, the sitcom has featured a number of recurring actors such as Bobby Ball, Abigail Cruttenden, Hugh Dennis, Megan Dodds, Deborah Grant, Miranda Hart, Tim Vine, Timothy West, Geoffrey Whitehead, and Katy Wix.

As of now, a release date has not yet been revealed but watch this space.
