2025’s AnimeJapan event has revealed that “Nue’s Exorcist” has won their annual poll for manga series worthy of an anime adaptation. With a staggering 160,000 votes, this title emerged as the clear favorite in a global poll that ended on February 12th, 2025. The triumphant winner was announced on the AnimeJapan Goods Japanese website. Among more than 40 other anime series, “Nue’s Exorcist” clinched the top spot. This captivating manga follows a boy who can see spirits and has been granted powers by a wandering ghost to combat evil within his school. Coming in second was “Liar! Gokuo-Kun,” while “Firefly Wedding” claimed third place. The poll results serve as an exciting prelude for the AnimeJapan convention, scheduled for March 22nd at Tokyo Big Sight and running until the 25th.

Winning this poll doesn’t ensure an anime adaptation immediately, but past winners have often seen animated projects following their victories.
